Paris Olympics 2024

The Olympic Games begin on Friday 26 July with the opening ceremony along the Seine in Paris, which will be the focus of games over the next weeks.

But other parts of France are holding events too, including Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Versailles; there is an Anglican church in each of these cities (see our map).

The Reverend Charlotte Sullivan from the church of Holy Trinity in Maisons Laffitte, just outside Paris, held a special service on Sunday 21 July before the games begin, and also taking part is the Reverend Ben Harding from Trinity church in Lyon. He is one of the official chaplains to the Games.
